I qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2001 and founded my clinic in 2013 after leaving the Army.
While physiotherapy remains the foundation of my work, I became increasingly aware that lasting recovery often requires looking beyond muscles, joints and exercise alone. This led me to pursue extensive postgraduate training in Visceral Manipulation, Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy and Somatic Experiencing.
Today, I work with both men and women experiencing musculoskeletal pain, persistent symptoms, scar-related problems and complex presentations that have often not responded to more conventional approaches. I also have a particular interest in supporting women through pregnancy, postnatal recovery and C-section rehabilitation.
I have been studying Visceral Manipulation through the Barral Institute since 2013 and am proud to serve as a teaching assistant for the UK faculty.
My own experience of pregnancy, birth and motherhood profoundly shaped the way I work and deepened my understanding of how physical symptoms, emotions, life experiences and the nervous system interact. Like many women, I was surprised by how little support was available for recovery after birth. Even as a physiotherapist, I underestimated the physical and emotional impact of pregnancy and becoming a mother.
That experience deepened my understanding of how physical symptoms,emotions, life experiences and the nervous system interact, and continues to influence the way I support women through pregnancy, postnatal recovery and beyond.
My aim is simple: to provide a calm, safe space where people feel listened to, gain clarity about what is happening in their body and leave with a better understanding of their symptoms and a clear path forward.
